Name: Timisha Wilson

Place of Work: Portland Public Schools
What is your favorite thing about your job/work? Working with young students and allowing them opportunities to learn.
Where did you grow up? Between Portland and Eugene
What college did you attend? Go Ducks! Go Viks! University of Oregon for my BS in Business Administration, and Portland State University for my MSW
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Just overall making my family proud and raising an awesome woman (my child) myself; parenting is a great achievement.
When are you happiest? Happiest when I’m traveling. I don’t care much for flying, I’d much rather teleport.
Your pet peeve/ the thing you spend the most time ranting about? People who complain but keep making the same mistakes. Learn something about yourself already!
Why did you join the Urban League of Portland Young Professionals? I believe I am still young and prefer to use my downtime productively by helping others get to their best. I have a passion for giving back, and the ULPDXYP seems like a great place to continue my journey and share my gifts.
Why do you feel the Urban League Young Professionals are important? Having a sense of community in this ever-growing, overpopulated city is something to appreciate and I believe the YPs of Urban League allows that to happen for anyone looking for their niche.
