2018 Urban League of Portland Career Fair: Management, Entry-level, Apprenticeship, and Youth Employ
On April 3rd, 2018 the Urban League of Portland will hold its annual Career Connections Job Fair.
This event will have the following opportunities:
Management/Skilled Professions. Experienced workers looking for upward mobility opportunities. Our economy is growing, and unemployment rates are hitting historic lows, but many qualified workers are still underemployed and are looking for opportunities for career growth.
Entry-level. Workers completing education or training programs, new to the job market, or seeking new career paths.
Apprenticeships. Our region is growing, and the construction industry is seeking people to enter the field through a variety of skilled occupations (carpenters, laborers, electricians, ironworkers, etc.). There are also apprenticeship programs in Software and Information Technology (programmers and software developers, etc.).
Youth Employment. Early work experience for youth is a critical component of preparing them for the transition to adulthood; increasing their knowledge of occupational skills and establishing a work history for future goals.
